Welcome

Mental Health Counseling For Adolescents and Adults.

My approach

I am focused on creating a space that is safe for my clients to take risks and uncover and explore their deep ways of relating in the world. My passion is in personally connecting with my clients, and I believe that by serving as a mirror for their inherent wisdom, they will begin to tap into their deepest reservoirs of strength. My approach to psychotherapy is eclectic, focused on the here-and-now, and strengths-based. I have many years experience working with trauma, shame, substance use, challenging family dynamics, and existential questions.

How did I get so stuck?

You’ve been getting by okay for a long time in the same old ways, but it’s just not working as well for you anymore. Maybe a life transition, or the Pandemic, has upped the pressure. Or maybe you’re just tired of not feeling fully alive. It can be hard to put into words, or to even make sense of why you keep falling into the same comfortable-miserable ruts, even though you know better.

I offer a space to welcome these questions, creatively adjusting my style to meet your needs as they shift over time.

In-person and remote options

My office is located near Downtown Asheville. If you’d like, we can meet outside in nature instead. Prefer Online? No worries – I’ve got you covered with teletherapy.

What do I do now?

It can be terrifying to dive into something as uncomfortable as therapy. I get that. Take all the time you need. If you are interested in learning more about working together, you can contact me for a free 15-minute consultation.

Live the questions now. Perhaps then, someday in the future, you will gradually, without even noticing it, live your way into the answer.
